If you’re anything like most people, then you love the outdoors. Being out in the sun is what a lot of people truly enjoy during the summertime. It is so exciting to jump into a pool of cold water on a hot summer day. Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to load all of the kiddos into the car, haul all of the towels, sunscreen, and toys, just to unload and hope you find a spot at the city pool? Most parents dread the arrival and departure to a pool. It would be so convenient to just walk into your backyard for a quick swim.
Concrete Pools
When you are making the decision to build a pool in your backyard, it can be difficult. The two main options that we are most well-known for are vinyl-lined pools and concrete pools. Vinyl-lined pools are built with a concrete bottom and a wood frame. They are less expensive than a concrete pool and can be installed in as little as seven days. Vinyl does have the risk of stains from pool chemicals, but it all depends on your budget. Concrete pools are also known as gunite pools. This is the most durable option for a pool and can be created in any shape. The benefit is that you have the freedom to choose a design and shape that will fit your landscape specifically. Most homeowners feel they have to redesign the landscaping before installing a pool. With concrete, this is not the case. It makes things much easier, but can definitely be a lot more costly.
Design Decisions
There are a couple more benefits to a gunite pool that buyers need to consider prior to making the final decision on such a large investment. We highly recommend our potential customers to ask themselves a few questions. Do you want to have the opportunity to choose from a large selection of colors and finishes? Do you want to worry about replacing any areas of the pool within the next ten years? Are you on a time crunch during the building process, or would you prefer to take your time? Would you like more flexibility when making cosmetic designing decisions? The list could go on for quite some time.
Slides
Let’s talk about slides, diving boards, and other amenities. Adding an exciting slide will ensure that you’re the ultimate party host. It also creates a more family-friendly atmosphere for your family and friends. You definitely can’t go wrong by making sure to have a backyard filled with entertainment. From experience, we have seen multiple families invest in an enormous swimming pool. They have saved up every penny for many years, but then the ultimate thing happens. They decide not to put in a slide or diving board and end up instantly regretting their decision. It is not recommended to build an amazing pool with a store-bought slide attached. Having an unreliable slide could potentially be harmful and dangerous. What it all comes down to is making sure you invest your money wisely. Don’t make a bad decision that you’ll end up regretting.
